DAY CARE RULES: ALL DOGS ARE REQUIRED TO ARRIVE FOR DAY CARE BY 8:00AM
Dogs must be at least 16 weeks of age. Application, waiver and vaccination records must be received before scheduling the evaluation day. Email these or fax to 912-349-5838.
Prior to day care and suite boarding, dogs are required to come in for an evaluation by our team of pet care technicians. The cost for the evaluation is $25.00 for each dog. All evaluations require an appointment Monday through Thursday at either 8:15am or 8:30am. The appointment is to meet with our day care manager to discuss your dogs personality and behavior. The pet will then be given a four hour evaluation. When your pet passes this evaluation, they will be permitted to stay for the remainder of the day in the day care. Any dog who has not attended day care for a period of 3 months, will be reevaluated at additional cost to the pet owner, before being approved to enter a day care group.
Dogs will not be admitted into day care if there is aggressive behavior, barking, mounting, biting of other dogs or staff, severe medical problems or we feel it is not a good fit in the group. We reserve the right to deny dogs entry based on the findings during the evaluation. Dogs who are approved may be reevaluated if their behavior warrants. Dogs may also be expelled from day care groups if thier behavior becomes unacceptable for the day care group. We reserve the right to remove any dog from a day care group due to bad behavior at any time while in our facility. Removal may be for a time out or it may be permanent based on the behavior exhibited.
Dogs must be vaccinated for rabies, DHLPP (distemper) and be current on their Bordatella (kennel cough) vaccination. Bordatella requires two boosters annually and most veterinarians only administer this when specifically asked. Our software keeps records of all vaccines and if a dog is past due, they will not be admitted until the shots are current and we have a copy of the records in our files. THE BORDATELLA VACCINE MUST BE ADMINISTERED 2 WEEKS PRIOR TO BOARDING AND MUST BE THE INTRA-NASAL VACCINE.
Dogs over seven months of age must be spayed or neutered.
DO NOT CALL IF YOUR DOG DOES NOT MEET THE ABOVE CRITERIA.
Dogs must be in general good health. Pit bulls and other bully breeds will be very carefully evaluated before being admitted into day care. If we feel any dog is not a good fit, they will not be accepted.
Reservations are always required for day care and boarding
BOARDING RULES:
Dogs must be at least 16 weeks of age. The very old and very young will be given extra rest if they appear to be getting run down. ALL DOGS ARE REQUIRED TO MEET THE SPAY AND NEUTER POLICIES AS STATED ABOVE IF THEY WILL BE JOINING A DAY CARE GROUP WHILE BOARDING. ALL DOGS MUST MEET THE VACCINATION POLICIES AS STATED ABOVE FOR STANDARD BOARDING OR SUITE BOARDING.
All suite boarding includes day care for the duration of the dogs stay. Dogs participating in day care while boarding will be required to come in for an evaluation day prior to their stay. Dogs are not required to join a play group but we encourage it to make their stay more relaxed and enjoyable. Dogs must be dropped off for suite boarding by 8:00am on the first day of their stay. All dogs boarding in suites must be in day care. If your dog is not suitable for day care then they must board in standard boarding. This prevents damage to our facility due to bored, overexcited dogs. We will make exceptions for dogs who are older and need specialized care, but only if they are non destructive dogs.
Dogs boarding in standard kennels receive 3 walks per day and will not be included in the day care group.
All suite boarding dogs must meet same conditions as day care dogs.
Dogs boarding in suites must be dropped off by 8:00am. You get a day of day care included in each night of boarding and the day before the first night is when your pets' stay begins. Dogs need to run around and play before going to bed at night to become acclimated so they can go to their beds tired and ready to eat their dinner. Trying to introduce a new dog into the group at 4:00pm is very problematic as the pack hierarchy has been set and the “new dog” will get LOTS of attention that is sometimes not all good! We are closed for pickups and drop offs from 11 3:0am to 2:30pm.
Standard boarding dogs can be dropped off in the evening, by 4:30pm, but there is NO discount for a PM drop off.
Please bring your dogs food in a covered plastic container marked with its name. Wet food and additives are perfectly fine as we have a fridge. We will take complete instructions on feeding at the time of drop off. Please allow enough time to allow us to gather all the information we need at the drop off time.
We will not give your pet real bones; they can splinter and stab the dog in the mouth or perforate its stomach. We also will not give your pets any rawhide bones or treats as they can become unraveled or be swallowed whole causing a choking hazard. Nylabones and other treats such as pig’s ears, bully sticks, Flossie twists, etc are allowed!
You are welcome to bring your dog’s bed, blanket or towel that smells like home. We will place it in your pets’ room or kennel for his comfort during his stay. It will allow them to feel more comfortable with familiar, homelike smells. Also, you may bring ONE stuffed animal, ball, rope toy, etc.
